      <image:title>Nnenna Ogwo, piano - Nnenna Ogwo, piano</image:title>
<image:caption>Nnenna Ogwo is a classically trained pianist and teaching artist dedicated to engaging listeners with her lush, richly layered performances. A pianist of Caribbean and African descent, Dr. Ogwo has performed in Europe, the Middle East, South America, the Caribbean, and the United States. Dr. Ogwo began playing the piano at age six, studying at the Peabody Conservatory Preparatory and graduating with honors in piano and composition. She continued her studies at Oberlin Conservatory in Oberlin, OH where she earned her BM; the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, Hungary; and Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, NY where she received her MM and DMA. She is the Founder and Artistic Director of Juneteenth LP (Juneteenth Legacy Project), a musical collaborative whose mission is to share the music of the African Diaspora through the unique lens of Black classically trained musicians. Her unwavering commitment to programming the music of under-represented composers is reflected in her various projects and collaborations with other musicians of color in presenting music of the African Diaspora and beyond. Dr. Ogwo currently serves on the piano faculty at Third Street Music School in Manhattan. She maintains a private studio in New York City and spends summers teaching at the Interlochen Arts Academy in Interlochen, MI. She is a member of the board of the Leschetizky Association of New York City and is a 2022 bespoken Fellow.</image:caption>

<image:title>Aundrey Mitchell, viola/violin - Dr. Aundrey Mitchell, Executive Director, viola/violin</image:title>
<image:caption>Dr. Aundrey Mitchell, a classically trained professional musician and educator, is passionate about music and teaching and has over 25 years of experience teaching music to students of all ages, levels, and backgrounds. Equally accomplished as a performer, Aundrey has performed extensively throughout the United States and abroad as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player performing at Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Merkin Hall, Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall, Broadway, Bargemusic, Kimmel Center, National Gallery of Art, Mariinsky Theater, and Tchaikovsky Hall. She has given recitals in New York, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Boston, Cleveland, Chicago, US Virgin Islands, France, and Italy and has toured South America, Mexico, Serbia, and Russia with the Philadelphia Virtuosi. Aundrey has been a teaching artist in New York City programs sponsored by Brooklyn Arts Council, Brooklyn Philharmonic, Young Audiences, and the Orchestra of St. Luke’s. She regularly coaches young professionals and adult amateur chamber music groups and teaches Senior Session and the Adult Chamber Music Workshop at The Kinhaven Music School in Vermont during the summer. Her work with older adults in New York City as a SU-CASA 2020 Artist in Residence inspired and helped to motivate her with ideas for creating year-long ongoing creative aging music programs for older adults in NYC. The 2020 pandemic shutdown brought an even greater awareness that adult learners were also a part of this community. Bringing together this community and New York City area musicians was not only a goal, but a much-needed necessity. Until 2020, Dr. Mitchell was adjunct assistant professor of music at City University of New York (CUNY), The College of New Jersey, and Moravian College. Aundrey earned degrees from the Cleveland Institute of Music, Manhattan School of Music, and Rutgers University studying with Michael Tree, Karen Ritscher, and Lucien Joel.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Judith Olson began learning piano as a required instrument during her first semester of college at age 17. "I had no choice. I was majoring in violin and biology and was required to take secondary piano." Two years later, in her second year of college at the University of Redlands in California, Judith auditioned and was accepted to The Juilliard School on both violin and piano. "I aim to teach the student, not just the subject, tailoring my approach to each individual personality," says Judith of her teaching style. She emphasizes reading skills so that "my students will continue to play throughout their lives. I also want my students to be exposed to a huge range of styles of classical music and I insist that they all perform." Judith's studio includes children as young as four. With younger students Judith utilizes "pre-reading" exercises and games before the staff is introduced. "I generally write my own materials for the beginning stages." She is also open to teaching adults and often uses the same methods as with her younger student. "I find that many adult students enjoy feeling like a kid again." Judith emphasizes performance with her students and often organizes concerts in which her students are featured not only as soloists but also in ensembles. In the past Judith has commissioned works for her students and also supports students who want to compose themselves by programming their works in recitals. As a performer, Judith is both a solo and collaborative musician, and has toured throughout North, Central and South America, Europe, the Middle East, and Korea. "The solo literature is endlessly fascinating. There is always more to explore. Because of my early years as a violinist, I have a special affinity for working with them. I also enjoy working with living composers on their pieces." Judith also continues to pursue a long-time interest in ballet. In her ballet classes she is constantly reminded of "what it feels like to be a student." She also enjoys playing with her three cats and collecting non-commercial jazz tapes of artists such as Bill Evans and Do</image:caption>

<image:caption>Amos Kwaku Gabia is a professional musician from Ghana, West Africa. He made New York his home in 2013. At an early age, Amos was introduced to music and started performing with the Noko Yedzen group. He plays a variety of instruments including the djembe, dun dun, kpanlogo, flute, and asalato. Amos is a founding member of Saha and performed with the award winning Salaka Ensemble. While living in Ghana, he led programs for groups of travelers from around the world interested in learning about West African culture through its music and dance.
